Description
The Tacky Original Fly Box is a tough and sleek polycarbonate box with a clear top, a magnet closure system and a patent-pending silicone rubber insert. The silicone insert is more durable than foam and will stand up to load after load of new flies. The cleverly arranged rows of slots have cutouts with a unique teardrop shape that makes insertion easier. (See Other Details for box specs.) Recognized for its ingenuity and innovation, the original Tacky Fly Box won the Best In Show award in the Fly Box/Storage category at the 2014 International Fly Tackle Dealer Show. The Big Bug Box has many of the same great features that made Tacky’s first two boxes so popular, including a polycarbonate, crystal-clear, super-sturdy case top;a latch-less magnetic closure system that lasts for years with no tabs or catches to break; a silicone mat that outlasts foam pads by a nautical mile and a hinge stop. What makes this box better than any other big box on the market are the silicone mat with contours and slot position designed specifically for large flies along with step down insertion guides that allow you to feel where the slit is and push hook down rather than backing it in. The Dry Fly Box is the solution to the problem of smashed hackles. Fly Boxes notoriously destroy dry fly hackles from the roof of the box pressing down on them. This is not the case with this box, and your flies will stay in perfect condition.

The Tacky Day Pack The coolest fly patch you’ll ever own. The innovative tube design hangs from your lanyard or can be attached to a zinger, and allows airflow to quickly dry flies. The patch can be opened up to be used as a minimalistic fly box and the tough polycarbonate shell protects your flies when pushing through heavy brush and shrubs. A patent pending slit silicon insert holds flies tightly, while handy magnets on each wall catch flies that you simply drop into “the tube” when you’re in a rush.
